The experiment in view

The study used rats given a high-dose magnesium challenge and cultured HEK293 cells. Its principal measures were weakness, electrolyte changes, tissue lesions and membrane potential. The study reported attenuation of several toxicity-associated changes.

Reading the result closely

The experimental overdose is the reason severe abnormalities appeared. A finding under those conditions cannot be translated into better everyday magnesium use. Cell membrane measurements and animal survival-related observations need separate interpretation before a proposed mechanism becomes a clinical question.

The boundary of the finding

This is not a clinical electrolyte-rescue protocol or evidence for routine supplementation combinations.

Related evidence, kept separate

BPC-157 and lidocaine-related experimental effects examines limb function, anesthesia-related responses, ECG, convulsions and cell depolarization. Here, the measured endpoint was weakness, electrolyte changes, tissue lesions and membrane potential. Those outcomes belong to separate experiments; one is not a replication or a human confirmation of the other.
