The experiment in view

The study used rats exposed to severe abdominal pressure followed by decompression. Its principal measures were early hemodynamic, vascular, thrombotic and organ-injury measures. The study reported attenuation of the severe reperfusion-associated syndrome after treatment.

Reading the result closely

Treatment timing is central: the intervention was tied to decompression and reperfusion. A result at that stage cannot be generalized to all abdominal symptoms. Pressure, thrombosis and tissue lesions describe different parts of the model, not a tested consumer indication.

The boundary of the finding

The authors' translation proposal is not evidence of a successful patient treatment.

Related evidence, kept separate

BPC-157 after experimental caval-vein embolization examines early pulmonary, vascular, pressure, thrombosis and organ findings. Here, the measured endpoint was early hemodynamic, vascular, thrombotic and organ-injury measures. Those outcomes belong to separate experiments; one is not a replication or a human confirmation of the other.
